Marlette Lake XC ski loop from Spooner State Park
Marlette Lake is one of my favorite spots in the Tahoe basin. In the summer you can access it from the Flume trail or Spooner State Park. In the winter Spooner Lake Cross Country grooms a lollipop type loop from Spooner State Park,
with some spectacular Tahoe views, and the isolated beauty of Marlette lake all accessible on well groomed trails. This is a fairly advanced trail, with about 1500' of climbing and descending, but it's well worth the effort.
