Brent and Mike's Loop
Worked on "barefoot pedaling" on this ride which is essentially ride with platform pedals and stand on all the climbs using your quads and butt muscles to power your pedals. It was exhausting but I made it through the first ride.
I hit all the drops on this ride and had a blast! The key to hitting them was keeping my speed up and thinking about the flow of the trail. By the end of the ride I was totally beat. At the end of rides like this I usually have some kind of craving that I focus on to get me to the end. Today it was ICE COLD WATER. After the ride I stopped at the local Smiths and got a gallon of purified water and a bag of ice. Satisfaction!
